December 2023 Southern Africa trip

Our most recent expedition to the field was at the end of the Fall 2023 semester, with participants Sifiso Lukhele, Stacey de Souza, Anastasia Poyiadji and Vasiliki Apostolakopoulou. Our mission was to collect more data on feather colour and song studies, and we embarked on a pilot study using robotics. Our aim was to gauge how well tinkerbirds differentiate between moving models of tinkerbirds with yellow and red forecrowns and in relation to the broadcast of songs of different species-specific rhythms.
